Today I had a well-spent afternoon with my little brother kite-flying. A lazy sunday afternoon, having fun, kite-flying with my little brother was awesome. And did I mention how much I enjoy kite flying? I know some of you might be wondering, what's so great about kite flying? How do you enjoy kite-flying? Basically, the kite flies high up and you just watch it fly... There isn't much excitement in kite-flying which you can get playing video games or watching movies. Right?
Well, to me, I find it rather exciting and enjoyable. From trying to get to fly to watching it fly high up in the sky. I remembered the first time I was introduced to kite-flying which was ages ago. My dad used to make kites for us and we'd go to Pasir Ris Park and fly our kites there. And as we got older, the idea of kite-flying wasn't in our list of fun things to do. And only last 2 years, I got an interest in kite-flying after a friend of my brother invited us to kite-fly at a field near our house. For that entire hour, I had the best time of my life. And slowly, I grew interested in kite-flying.
I bought a really cheapskate kite, ehm, less than 2 bucks. I practically ran the entire field just to get it to fly. Fyi, the field was the size of 5 football fields. But the kite was stubborn and it didn't flew. Good thing is, I get to lose some calories running around the field. :)
Anyway, so I invested in a more expensive and better ones. And then it started flying. Man, was I happy. Felt a great sense of achievement. Watching it fly high up makes me smileeee... Felt as though my troubles are being flown away by the kite. And today, it flew higher and higher. The higher it gets the more my troubles are being flown away by the kite. And the more happier I get. :) :)
Maybe I shall go kite flying every week. Anyone up for it?
