I'm gonna miss the food from school. Canteen 2, 3, Makan Place and of course Alumni. Ahhh, yes, My seafood Mee Goreng with prawns and sotong. Eating that definitely makes my day. And canteen 3 famous for their cheap Malay dishes. Their Nasi Briyani, chicken rice. Yes.... And the Makcik who 'loves' everyone (she calls everyone sayang). That's how you do business. Canteen 2, oh yes, my breakfast set. Cheap breakfast set. Definitely can't get that outside school. And Makan Place, oh... don't get me started. Of all the food there, I'm gonna miss the beef scrambled eggs. And maybe the kaya toast. And also rice with malay dishes from the Nasi Padang stall. And chicken chop from Hungry Jack. And erm, cheng teng. Yes, that's all. Hmm, maybe... Okay, no. Stop it, Lat, you're gonna bore the readers.
Moving on....
I'm gonna miss all the lecturers I ever had. The nice one, the timid one, the stuck-up one, the funny one, the one who likes to syiok-sendiri, the one so full of herself, the cute one, the one always on the go, the fun-loving one, the encouraging one, the knowledgeable one, the one who knows nothing, the one who ignores us, the one who makes our life so difficult, the one who finds fault in anything we do and the list goes and on and on and on....
Without you lecturers, school wouldn't be called school. Without them, we won't have assignments, presentations, lectures, tutorials. Without them, we won't have someone to hate at some point of our life. Without them, we won't have someone to thank when we have succeeded. Oh wait, without them, we won't even succeed! So to all lecturers out there, thank you for all your time and effort in moulding the future generation. You know what Malays say? Macam paham! (Like you understand only...) But seriously, without them, we are nothing right?
Of course, I'm gonna miss my ever-so dramatic, noisy, full of life, awesome class, B01. I can't imagine myself not being in B01. The class always add colours to my dull and mundane school life. Never had a day without laughter. I believe each and everyone of my classmates had certain unique qualities that adds so much life to the class. I'm gonna miss how we were so loud in lectures but quiet during tutorials (you know who's tutorial I'm talking about). I'm gonna miss how 'rebellious' we were to some lecturers. Heheh. I'm gonna miss all the crazy and fun stuffs we all did as a class. Bottom line, I'm gonna miss being in the same class with all of them.
So, this is it. Poly life ends (not officially yet though, i'm still using my tertiary ez-link card with concession). While most of my friends are continuing with their studies. I'm beginning a new chapter in my life tomorrow. I'll be working as a full-fletched early childhood educator at... Go figure! Which means, I'm gonna be a working adult already! Wow, how time flies. It felt like it was only yesterday I started going to school. Sighs.. No more student discounts. No more allowance from my dad. Oh wait, I'm starting work tomorrow!! *panic mode* I am so having mixed feelings right now. Nervous and excited all jumbled together.
This is it. I mean tomorrow is it. Tomorrow's the day that determines everything.
My future. My dreams. My goals.
To all my graduating friends: All the best in whatever you guys do! Keep moving forward to achieve your dreams. Never stop believing in yourself. You guys can do it! :)
To B01: It's been an awesome 3 years. I don't know what I would do without you guys. I know we had a lot of disagreements along the way with one another, so, for the sake of moving on, we'll just forgive and forget, yeah? Anyway, I had so much fun with you guys. You guys would definitely stay in my memories for eternity. And all the best to everyone! Love you guys!
